- Imavex, an Indiana based LLC is the website sponsor of the SECURE INDIANA Symposium (www.secureindiana.org) to be held on Wednesday, November 17, at the University Place Conference Center on the IUPUI campus.
The need for information system security has escalated dramatically in recent years. In addition to fending off assaults from inside and outside their networks, businesses face regulatory compliance issues that have added to the burden. A shortage of trained IT security professionals has made it more difficult to deal with these issues. The Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI has addressed this need with a new Network Security Certificate program designed to provide IT students and working professionals education and training in information assurance and security.
Purdue School of Engineering and Technology-IUPUI, the Department of Computer Technology-Purdue University, and The Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS), in conjunction with Moser Consulting and SUN Microsystems, will present a day-long symposium designed to highlight current issues in IT security and examine the latest developments in security practice and enforcement.
